Limited Autobiography
The alarm on my blackberry goes off; it’s 7:45am. To other’s that may be the time where they’re already walking to school, but for me, it’s the time where I get out of bed. I wait 5 more minutes and think of how my day is going to go today. I stretch and finally get out of bed and head to my bathroom. I do my normal routine and walk 6 steps from the bathroom to my room. I turn on the television to channel 51. I need noise when I’m alone in the morning since my mom’s already at work. It is now 8:00am. I don’t really pay attention to what’s on the tv but yet get dressed into my uniform. I put my shirt on first, then my kilt, stockings and finally my grad sweater. I take my Clinique daily moisturizer and place some on my face before I apply my makeup. I first put on my foundation, mascara, and a little bit of eyeliner and I’m good to go. I take 5 steps and in the dining/ living room. My place isn’t that big. I eat the spam, eggs, and rice my mom laid out for me in 5 min. It is now 8:10am. I have 10 minutes to spare. I only takes me 5 minutes to walk from my house to the school. I am very fortunate. Lastly I go back into my bathroom and fix my nappy hair and make it look presentable, and brush my teeth. It is now 8:21am and I hope I won’t be late. I run and get my jacket from my room that’s 5 steps to get to, grab my backpack and books and head out the door. I take my keys with my Tiffany Nike keychain that I got for my birthday and lock both locks. I push the button for the elevator to go down two floors then I head out of my apartment. I feel the nice cool breeze and I’m glad I brought my jacket. I speed walk all the way to school. I pass by St. Patrick’s Elementary School and see some familiar faces from a distance but sadly, I don’t have the time to say hi. I reach the cross walk and push the button 8 times to cross. I am in a hurry. It is now 8:26am. The light finally turns yellow, then to red. I walk even faster and try to avoid the small puddles that were made from the Firehall. Every morning there’s some icy puddles made by the firefighters when they clean their truck. I arrive at the school and everyone’s going up the stairs on the Science wing of the school. I made it just in time and go directly to my homeroom. Everyone in my homeroom is already in their seats and it is now 8:29am. Mrs. Wong looks at me and smiles. I sit in my usual spot next to john and behind Julia Byrne and Gina Coughlan and I start my day off with one of Gina’s interesting stories. It is now 8:30am.
