WEEK THREE

Last night I asked my mom on how she felt on certain situations during her life story. I didn't realize that going through the past in order to write a novel would bring up past emotions as well. As I was questioning her, I saw perhaps the hurt she remembers especially when I asked about how she felt when her parents died so young. She got teary and she said that she was too young to know what was going on and that she doesn't remember crying. I also realized that i'm glad that I chose to write a novel on my family's life because I can keep this for the future and show my kids (hopefully) haha.

WEEK TWO

My mom was a secretary in the Philippines at the National Power Corporation for ten years. She had great friends and family supporting her. She was still single at the time but she said she was very happy because life was so much easier. They had maids and people to cook for them and my mom barely had to do any work. Now she tells me repeatedly that either she wishes she would go back there so she doesn't have to work so hard or she wishes that she had a niece or someone to come live with us so someone would help her out.
